New album by the Nikolov-Ivanović Undectet

World Music Day 2024 will be marked with the release of the third album of Nikolov-Ivanović Undectet “Dystopia”, now available on all platforms.

This album reveals 10 new compositions, written in the pandemic and post-pandemic period. The core of the material emerged during the lockdown days as two protest pieces, “Dystopia“ and “Scream”. They emphasize our need for basic freedoms and our difficulty to cope with extreme situations. The arrangements include modern spatial writing, wide atmospheres and tricky rhythms in a blend of the Balkan and African traditions.

The story of Dystopia tries to cover both sides of the coin. Some of us watch the terrible news from the comfort of our home, while some others fight for their life and experience true horror. The way we perceive human pain and dystopia is different for everybody. The music portrays that through different styles, characters and atmospheres. This project’s aim is to raise questions.
