This November, Louis Cole joins the Metropole Orkest for some funky nights.
Cole and the orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley, will meet for five concerts spread throughout the Netherlands. Vladimir Nikolov will be one of the arrangers for this concert.
Louis Cole is a Los Angeles based singer songwriter, Grammy awarded producer, composer and multi-instrumentalists. Celebrated as one of the world’s most future-sonic-funk drummers and co-founder of KNOWER, his mission is ‘to create deep feelings through music’. Cole has proudly been DIY to date, amassing millions of views with his viral videos like ‘Bank Account’, international tours and debut album ‘Time’ released on Brainfeeder.
Known for presenting a show that you will never forget, Louis Cole’s powerful stage presence invites you into his broad and deep sound world, a world filled with quickfire, hook-laden electro-funk bullets, wistful humor and soft-focus deep balladry.
In the past, Louis worked together with big names such as Thundercat, Genevieve Artadi, Dennis Hamm and acclaimed jazz pianist and experimental composer Brad Mehldau who featured on his album ‘Time’.
The collaboration between Louis, Jules and Metropole Orkest will be an unforgettable one. Together they will play Louis’ new works for the first time in the full orchestral colour and groove.
Ticket sales for the concert at the Meervaart will start at the end of June. The concert at Theater aan de Parade is part of the festival NovemberMusic. Ticket sales for this concert will start in June as well. The concert in Groningen (SPOT) is part of festival Rockit.
