After 30 years, the combined composition of three national jazz orchestras returns to Slovenia.

For the first time in 30 years, three reunited Big Bands will perform on the Gallus Hall stage in Slovenia: the Big Band RTV Slovenia, the Croatian Radio Television Jazz Orchestra, and the Big Band Radio Television Serbia. The meeting will be followed by a major jazz project – the Jumbo Big band, in which these orchestras last performed together in Slovenia in 1990 under the leadership of the legendary Jože Privšek. This mighty jazz band will fill the auditorium with tracks adapted specifically for the three Big Bands.

The first recording after 29 years was made possible by last year’s jazz festival in Novi Sad, where the Jumbo Big band, led by the renowned Sigi Feigl, received a standing ovation and a general enthusiasm that resonates even today. A documentary film was produced alongside TV Slovenia. We invite you to vividly experience the might of the Jumbo Big band, led this time by renowned conductor Vladimir Nikolov.

The concert is part of the Jumbo Big Band tour and will also be performed in Zagreb, Croatia (12.03, Vatroslav Lisinski) and Belgrade, Serbia (15.03, Sava Centar).
